Traumatic pneumothorax

Pneumothorax is called pneumothorax. The incidence of traumatic pneumothorax accounts for about 15% to 50% of blunt injuries and about 30% to 87.6% of penetrating injuries. In most cases, the air in the pneumothorax originates from a puncture of the lung by a fractured rib. Injury, or ruptured bronchi or lungs due to a sharp rise in airway pressure. Sharp wounds or firearm injuries penetrate the chest wall and hurt the lungs, bronchi, and trachea or esophagus. They can also cause pneumothorax, and most often pneumothorax or pneumothorax. Pulmonary pneumothorax is occasionally caused by ruptured stomach with closed or penetrating diaphragmatic rupture.
