Trypanosomiasis

Trypanosomiasis A protozoan infectious disease caused by trypanosomiasis. There are two types of trypanosomiasis, namely, African and American, which are tropical diseases that have not been reported in China. It is endemic in Africa and is distributed in western and central Africa. It is caused by T. gambiense and Rhodesia trypanosomiasis, and is called African trypanosomiasis. Mainly neurological diseases, also known as sleeping sickness, the main source of infection is humans. Endemic in the Americas, caused by trypanosoma cruzi, called American trypanosomiasis. Animals and humans are the source of infection, and the transmission medium is the tongue fly. Human trypanosomes can be divided into two categories according to their infection pathways, namely salivary trypanosomes transmitted through saliva and fecal trypanosomes transmitted through feces.
