Lens-associated uveitis

The disease has various names in the literature, such as phacolytic uveitis, phacotoxic uveitis, phacoallergic uveitis, or lens allergic endophthalmitis ( phacoallergic endophthalmitis), phacoantigenic uveitis, phacogenic uveitis, lens-induced uveitis, and the like. These names are either based on pathogenesis or pathological characteristics, but they do not represent all the characteristics of such diseases and are easy to be confused in use. Therefore, the name lens-associated uveitis is proposed. But at least that uveitis is caused by lens factors.
