Typical fibroblasts are dense, brightly tendon-like white, bunched or swirling, with a well-defined border. The disease is rare, has no obvious gender difference, and can occur in all ages, but 90% of patients clinically are under 30 years of age, and there is no clear predominant onset site. It can occur in any bone of the entire skeletal system, especially in long bones (particularly (Femur, humerus, and tibia) are more common in the metaphysis and also in the backbone. It often invades to the metaphysis in adulthood, with mild symptoms and late onset, including moderate pain, pathological fractures, and occasional bone expansion.
