Congenital tibia

Congenital tibial pseudoarthrosis is a general term for congenital tibial dysplasia or failure. There are many specific types, each type has its own independent pathology, course of disease and prognosis. It is more common at the junction of the middle and lower 1/3 of the tibia, and eventually forms a local false joint. The incidence of men is slightly higher than that of women, mostly unilateral, and the ipsilateral fibula can also be involved. A small number of patients have a genetic history.
