Diabetes and Tuberculosis

Patients with diabetes are a high-risk group of tuberculosis. In the interaction between tuberculosis and diabetes, the impact of diabetes on tuberculosis is even more important. According to most literature data, the prevalence of TB in diabetic patients is 4-8 times higher than that of the general population. When the two diseases coexist, 3/4 of the patients have diabetes before tuberculosis, 1/4 of the patients are found at the same time, and only a small number of patients have tuberculosis before diabetes.
