Thymus carcinoid

Thymic carcinoid tumors are a type of thymic neuroendocrine cell tumors. Thymic neuroendocrine cell tumors are divided into two categories, and the other is thymic small cell carcinoma. The morphological and ultrastructural characteristics of thymic neuroendocrine cell tumors and the ability of tumor cells to secrete biochemicals secreted by APUD cells in other parts of the human body are supportive of the view that thymic neuroendocrine tumor cell tumors originate from silver spinal neurotrophic cells (Kultschitzky cells) .
