Squamous cell carcinoma of the head

Squamous cell carcinoma (squamous cell carcinoma for short) refers to keratinocytes that originate from the epidermis or attachments such as sebaceous ducts, hair follicles, sweat ducts, etc. It is more common in elderly men and occurs in exposed areas such as the scalp, face, neck, and back of hands.
