Chondroblastoma

Chondroblastoma is a benign tumor derived from juvenile chondrocytes (chondroblasts). Chondroblastoma was first discovered by Ernest Codman. The callus located mainly at the end of the long bone can also be located in the osteoblast, also known as Codman tumor. Because it occurs in the secondary ossification center, it is also called benign epiphyseal chondroblastoma. Occurs in secondary ossification centers of long bones, which are more common in the humeral head, femoral condyle, and tibial plateau, and sometimes can be seen in small bones (such as the sacrum) and flat bone processes (such as the sacral condyles) without secondary ossification centers. . It usually develops in late childhood or adolescence.
