Other salmonella infections

It is an acute infectious disease caused by various Salmonellae. Salmonella typhi and paratyphoid are often collectively referred to as Salmonella typhimurium. Although they also belong to the genus Salmonella, due to the traditional habits and pathological changes and clinical manifestations of typhoid and paratyphoid, they have been introduced in another topic. Therefore, other salmonella infections are referred to as non-typhoidal salmonellosis. The main mode of transmission of the disease is caused by eating meat products, egg products and dairy products contaminated with salmonella. Due to the differences in pathogenic bacteria and body reactivity, its clinical manifestations are more complicated, and can be divided into gastroenteritis, typhoid, sepsis, and local purulent infection. In addition, it can be manifested as urinary tract infections and asymptomatic infections.
