Pharyngeal sclerosis

Scleroma is a chronic progressive granulomatous lesion. It usually occurs first in the nose and slowly develops to the upper lip, nasopharynx, palate, pharynx, throat, trachea, sinuses, and nasolacrimal duct. Lesions generally do not invade the lymph nodes or metastasize elsewhere. Because more than 98% of patients have nasal lesions, this disease is also called rhinoscleroma or rhinoscleroma. A few cases can be primary in the throat, throat or trachea without affecting the nose. Scleroderma is a sporadic endemic disease that has been reported around the world. According to a large number of domestic statistical analysis, except for Taiwan and Tibet, which have not been collected, the disease has occurred in all provinces and cities. Among them, Shandong Province has the highest incidence, accounting for about 46% of the total.
