Small intestine torsion

Small intestinal torsion means that the small intestine is twisted clockwise or counterclockwise along its longitudinal axis of the mesentery by more than 180deg; so that both ends of the twisted intestine and the mesenteric blood vessels are compressed, and the intestinal tube is completely or partially occluded and the blood flow is impaired. Formation of occlusive strangulated intestinal obstruction.
