X-linked agammaglobulinemia in children

X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) is a primary immunodeficiency disease caused by a series of developmental disorders of human B cells, and is a typical representative of primary B cell defects. Also known as congenital hypogammaglobulinemia. Only boys are affected. Recurrence of bacterial infections is the main clinical feature.
