Pituitary crisis and pituitary stroke

When the anterior pituitary is dysfunctional, the adrenocortical hormones and thyroid hormones are deficient, and the body's stress capacity is reduced. In the case of infection, vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, cold, hunger, etc., and the application of sleeping pills or anesthetics induces crisis. Sudden intratumoral hemorrhage, infarction, and necrosis of pituitary tumors cause tumor body enlargement. Acute neuroendocrine disease caused by pituitary tumors is called pituitary stroke.
