Selective IgA deficiency

Selective IgA deficiency refers to serum IgA below 0.05 g / L, while normal IgG and IgM levels; it is the most common type of immune deficiency. The scan rate in the population is about 1/700. The disease is mostly sporadic, partly familial, and affects generations. An epidemiological survey of 6 ethnic groups in different regions of China shows that the disease has ethnic and regional differences. Alpha; abnormalities in the structural genes encoding heavy chains may not be the main cause; IgA production in the early stage of B cell differentiation is retarded, or IgA-specific inhibition of T cells is activated, resulting in blocked B cell maturation may be the cause of the disease.
