Sexually related diseases

Sexually related diseases are caused by a genetic defect on the sex chromosome (X or Y chromosome). The disease is divided into two major categories of X-associated genetic disease and Y-associated genetic disease. Genes on the X chromosome produce X-sexual traits or diseases, while genes on the Y chromosome produce Y-sexuality. Because only men have the Y chromosome, Y-associated characteristics are only manifested in men, and male offspring of a man with a Y-associated disease will develop the disease.
