J-associated mental disorders

Epidemic encephalitis (JE) -associated mental disorder refers to a central nervous system infectious disease caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus transmitted by mosquitoes, and a mental disorder based on this. Epidemic Japanese encephalitis is often epidemic in summer and autumn, and the onset is sharp, and it occurs in children. The lesion was in the brain parenchyma, with extensive inflammation as the main pathological change. The morbidity rate is generally 2 to 10 / 100,000, and the mortality rate is high (5% to 50%). About 1/3 of the survivors leave a lifetime neuropsychiatric disorder. Due to the massive vaccination of the vaccine and the recessive infection of the crowd, children have become the main targets of the disease. The first symptoms of older children and adults can only be manifested as behavioral disorders and are easily misdiagnosed as mental illness.
