Fracture of ulna olecranon

Fractures of the olecranon are common injuries to the elbow and are more common in adults. Except for a few avulsion fractures of the olecranon tip, the fracture lines in most cases involve intra-articular fractures of the meniscus. Due to the contraction of the elbow extensor and flexor muscles, fractures are easily separated and displaced. Therefore, during treatment, restoring the normal anatomical alignment of the articular surface and firmly fixing the early active joints are important measures to obtain good function. If the joints are not properly aligned, they may cause traumatic arthritis in the future, resulting in joint pain and limited function.
