Ectopic and dislocation of crystals

Under normal circumstances, the lens is suspended from the ciliary body by the crystal suspensory ligament, and its axis is almost the same as the visual axis. Defects or ruptures of the crystal ligament ligament due to congenital, trauma, or lesions can cause the suspension force to weaken, causing ectopia lentis or subluxation; if the suspensory ligament is completely broken, the crystal can be completely dislocated .
