Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) αβ is synthesized by syncytiotrophoblasts. HCG is secreted on the 6th day after fertilization, and can be detected in the serum and urine of pregnant women on the 7th day after fertilization, which can be used for diagnosis of early pregnancy. By 8 to 10 weeks of pregnancy, the serum concentration reached a peak, about 50-100kU / L, and it decreased rapidly after 10 days.
