Serum β2 microglobulin

β2 microglobulin is a β light chain of human leukocyte antigen molecules. Its main function is to participate in lymphocyte surface recognition and related to killer cell portable. Almost all nucleated cells in the body can synthesize β2 microglobulin and attach to the cell surface. The same individual produces a constant amount of β2 microglobulin daily and is secreted in various body fluids. The measurement of β2 microglobulin in blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid is of great significance for the diagnosis of many diseases.
