Glutamate dehydrogenase

Glutamate dehydrogenase (GLDH or GDH) is a mitochondrial enzyme, mainly found in liver, heart muscle and kidney, and a small amount in brain, skeletal muscle and white blood cells. In addition to catalyzing the dehydrogenation of L-glutamic acid, GDH also catalyzes the deamination of other amino acids such as L-valine, L-2-aminobutyric acid and L-leucine. The measurement method is mainly the continuous monitoring method.
