Vaginal cytology

The female reproductive organs consist of the vulva, vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Vaginal cytology is a smear microscopic examination of exfoliated cells in the vagina, cervix, or endometrium. Cervical exfoliated epithelial cells with the center of the cervix as the center, the properties of cervical lesions can be preliminarily determined under the microscope according to cell size, morphology, nuclear plasma ratio, and nuclear structure under the microscope. This determines the treatment measures and whether further inspection is required. It is mainly used for the general screening of malignant tumors in the female reproductive system, and is one of the important methods for screening for cancer screening.
