Urinary flow rate

Urine flow rate measurement is an auxiliary test method used to check whether the urination function is normal. Urine flow meter is used to record the urine flow rate per second during urination and draw a curve to understand whether the lower urinary tract is obstructed. According to the urine flow rate curve, each urine flow rate parameter is calculated, including maximum urine flow rate, urine flow time, average urine flow rate, maximum urine flow rate time, 2 second urine flow rate, total urine volume, and the like. Urine flow measurement is a non-invasive and relatively inexpensive test item. For most patients suspected of having lower urinary tract dysfunction, it is a preferred and essential screening program.
