Abnormal red blood cell size

The size of normal red blood cells is basically the same, with a diameter of about 6-9 m, and the size of red blood cells can be changed during various anemias, resulting in uneven red blood cell sizes. The diameter of red blood cells greater than 10 & mu; m is called large red blood cells; those larger than 15 & mu; m are called giant red blood cells; those less than 6 & mu; m are called small red blood cells.
