Damp heat in the large intestine

The large intestine damp-heat syndrome refers to the syndrome manifested by damp-heat invasion of the large intestine. Mostly due to the exogenous heat and dampness, or due to diet and other factors. It is equivalent to acute and chronic bacterial dysentery of Chinese medicine, bacterial food poisoning, acute and chronic amoebic enteritis, chronic non-specific ulcerative colitis, acute appendicitis, and hemorrhoids.
