Amoebia
Refers to the detection of protozoan antigen in the blood after the disease caused by amoeba in the human intestinal tract. The amoeba protozoan antigen test has diagnostic significance for amoebiasis. Positive is seen in amoebic liver abscess, intestinal amoebiasis, or carriers.
