Xenograft in vitro
In vitro xenograft experiments, even though routine semen analysis is completely normal, sometimes do not fully represent sperm insemination ability. In vitro xenograft experiments can more accurately estimate the fertilization ability of sperm, and are extremely valuable for judging male fertility. Commonly used are heterozygous experiments with human sperm penetrating hamster eggs, using sperm from normal fertility as a control.
