Partial thromboplastin time

At 37 ° C, white clay can activate factors Ⅺ and Ⅻ. Part of thromboplastin, ie, cerebral phospholipid, can replace platelet factor 3. It can also accelerate the activation of factor X. KPTT is the determination of the time required for plasma coagulation under the condition that sufficient white clay and some thromboplastin and calcium ions are added. This test is a screening test for the endogenous coagulation system, but it lacks specificity and is an extension of this test. Other tests should be performed to identify the type of coagulopathy. It is meaningful to extend KPTT for more than 10s compared with the normal control.
