Immunoturbidity

Immune turbidity technology was mainly used for the determination of protein content in serum, urine and cerebrospinal fluid. Immune turbidity technology uses specific binding of soluble antigens and antibodies in the liquid phase to form a certain size antigen-antibody complex, which makes the reaction solution appear turbid. When an excess of antibodies is maintained in the reaction solution, the complex formed increases with the increase in the amount of antigen, and the turbidity of the reaction solution also increases. Compared with a series of standards, the sample content can be calculated. At present, immunoturbidity technology is mainly used for the detection of various proteins, apolipoproteins, haptens (such as hormones, poisons and various therapeutic drugs, etc.) and microorganisms.
