Tripod fusion

The three-foot joint fusion refers to the fusion of the three joints of the heel, the heel, and the talus [Figure 11]. The ankle joint remained active after the operation. The purpose of the surgery is to stabilize the foot joints, correct deformities and restore their function. Since these 3 articular surfaces are located on two mutually perpendicular planes, different wedge resections can be used to correct plantar flexion, toe, varus, varus, adduction, abduction or high arch deformity; two plane Combined wedge resection can make three-dimensional correction of the various joint deformities mentioned above. The deformity of the foot is different and the degree is different. Therefore, the degree of bone resection and fixation method of the three joints are also different. Full research should be done before surgery, and different designs should be made for different deformities. During the operation, adjustments should be made at any time in order to obtain satisfactory results.
