Acute simple pharyngitis
Acute simple pharyngitis is an acute inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and submucosa. Pharyngeal lymphoid tissue is also often involved. Inflammation can be limited to a certain part in the early stage, and often involves the entire pharyngeal cavity as the disease progresses.
