Bursitis

Bursitis refers to acute or chronic inflammation of the bursa. The bursa is a sac-like space in connective tissue. It is a closed sac composed of endothelial cells. The inner wall is a synovial membrane with a little synovial fluid. A few are connected to the joint, located between the bone process near the joint and the tendon or muscle, skin. A bursa can be present where friction or pressure is high, and its role is mainly to facilitate sliding, thereby reducing or avoiding friction and compression between the bone protuberances and soft tissues near the joint. Many joint diseases can cause this disease.
