Primary ovarian choriocarcinoma

Primary ovarian choriocarcinoma is a highly malignant ovarian tumor. Ovarian choriocarcinoma can be divided into pregnant and non-pregnant choriocarcinoma. Pregnancy choriocarcinoma is generally not associated with other malignant germ cell tumors. Mixed type refers to the presence of choriocarcinoma components in other malignant germ cell tumors, such as immature teratoma, yolk sac tumor, embryo tumor and asexual cell tumor. Primary ovarian choriocarcinoma is more common, simple type is extremely rare. Pregnancy choriocarcinoma is generally not associated with other malignant germ cell tumors. The diagnosis of these two types of choriocarcinoma is difficult to distinguish, unless it occurs before menarche or the virgin can be diagnosed with non-pregnant choriocarcinoma. It has been thought that the prognosis of non-pregnant choriocarcinoma is poorer than that of pregnant choriocarcinoma, the disease develops rapidly, and it will die in a short time.
