Large placenta
The placenta is a disc-shaped organ. The diameter is about 15-20cm, the thickness is 1.5-3.0cm, and the weight is 1/6 of the fetal weight, about 500-600 grams. When the placenta weighs more than 800 grams, it is called large placenta.
