Bacteremia

Bacteremia refers to the fact that external bacteria enter the blood system through the entrance of the body surface or the entrance of infection, reproduce in the human blood and spread with the blood flow throughout the body, with serious consequences. Generally, a urinary catheter or a surgical stoma on the surface is prone to bacteremia. Patients with bacteremia often develop acute metastatic infections of multiple organs, and show various symptoms of acute infection. Once suspected, a blood test should be taken immediately, and once the diagnosis is confirmed, the infection should be treated immediately.
