Vulvar pain

Vulvar pain is a chronic vulvar discomfort characterized by burning, tingling, tenderness, or irritation. Although those who have this group of symptoms are collectively referred to as vulvar pain regardless of its cause, it is generally believed that vulvar pain refers only to those with unknown causes. Vulvar pain without obvious infections or organic lesions is called vulvar pain syndrome (VPS) and includes vulvar vestibulitis (VV), ring vulvitis, and paresthesia.
