Pediatric white matter cavernous degeneration syndrome

Pediatric white matter cavernous degeneration syndrome (Canavans syndrome) is an autosomal recessive inherited disease, which is mainly characterized by progressive head circumference increase and rapid decline of nervous system function. Pediatric white matter cavernous degeneration syndrome is also called central nervous system cavernous degeneration, Canavan syndrome, Van-Bogaert-Bertrand syndrome, and cavernous degeneration of nervous system.
