Hemolytic anemia

Hemolytic anemia refers to a type of anemia that occurs when the destruction of red blood cells accelerates and bone marrow hematopoietic function is insufficiently compensated. If the bone marrow can increase red blood cell production, which is sufficient to compensate for the shortened survival time of red blood cells, anemia will not occur. This state is called compensated hemolytic disease. Many diseases such as chronic anemia, renal anemia, folic acid, vitamin B12 deficiency, and even iron-deficiency anemia will cause excessive destruction of red blood cells, but hemolytic anemia refers to excessive destruction of red blood cells, which is the main factor leading to anemia.
