Tenderness and rebound pain

Tenderness and rebound tenderness. Tenderness is a painful reaction that occurs when palpation is used to examine a patient's affected area. Bounce back pain is a sign that the peritoneal wall has been affected by inflammation. When the hand is suddenly raised, the peritoneum is stretched to cause pain. It is more common when abdominal visceral lesions affect the adjacent peritoneum, and it is also found in primary peritonitis. When abdominal visceral inflammation has not affected the parietal peritoneum, there can be only tenderness without rebound pain. This inspection method is used to assist diagnosis and determine the corresponding symptoms.
