Ischemic necrosis

The characteristic pathological change of ischemic necrosis is the death of bone cells due to impeded blood supply. The severity of ischemic necrosis depends on damage to the circulatory system. The femoral head (hip) is the most common lesion; followed by the femoral knee joint end and the humeral head (shoulder). The ankle bone, carpal scaphoid, and scaphoid are less involved. Ischemic necrosis of the femoral head is a disease with a series of clinical manifestations such as hip pain and limited mobility due to different causes causing blood supply to the femoral head to be damaged. It can occur in all age groups and is a very common clinical disease.
