Alanine

Alanine is the basic unit of protein and is one of the 21 amino acids that make up human protein. The amino acids that make up a protein molecule are all L-amino acids. Because they are in the same pH environment, the charged states of various amino acids are different, that is, they have different isoelectric points (PI), which is the principle of separating amino acids by electrophoresis and chromatography.
