Urine 17-ketosteroids

17-ketosteroide (17-ketosteroide, 17-KS) refers to those with corticosteroids and sex hormones that have a keto group at the 17-carbon position, including androsterone, epiandrosterone, dehydroisoandrosterone, 11-oxyandrosterone, 11 -Hydroxyandrostenone and the like, most of which exist in a bound form. 17-ketosteroids are mainly metabolites of adrenal and testicular androgens. Two-thirds of males come from adrenal glands, one-third from testes, and females mainly come from adrenal glands. Urine 17-ketosteroids (17-KS) can reflect the overall situation of adrenocortical hormones, glucocorticoids, and gonad secretion, and have great value for evaluating the function of androgen secreted by the adrenal glands.
