Serum immunoglobulin D

Serum immunoglobulin D (IgD) content is very low, and it can exist as a membrane receptor on the surface of B cells. Its role may be involved in initiating B cells to produce antibodies. Its function is also related to certain autoantibodies and antitoxin antibodies, such as antinuclear Antibodies, anti-basement membrane antibodies, anti-thyroid antibodies, anti-diphtheria toxoid antibodies, tetanus toxoid antibodies, etc. are related.
