Bile lysate test
The bile lysing test is based on the following principles. Bile or bile salts can dissolve Streptococcus pneumoniae, which may be due to the bile reducing the cell membrane surface tension, breaking the cell membrane or lysing the bacteria; or the bile accelerating Streptococcus pneumoniae The autolysis process promotes the autolysis of bacteria. Reagent: 10% sodium deoxycholate or pure bovine bile.
