Lung metastasis

Lung metastasis generally refers to the deterioration of the malignant tumor and metastasis to the lungs. The lung is a must for the whole body's blood flow, and its rich capillary bed is a high-efficiency filter, which has become a common site for various malignant tumors. 20 to 54% of patients who died of malignant tumors had lung metastases, and 15% of lungs were the only metastatic site. The occurrence of lung metastases is generally considered to be that tumor cells stay at the bifurcation site of the small arteries or capillaries of the lung, adhere to the capillary endothelium to form a clot, and pass through the tube wall into the connective tissue outside the blood vessel. Hyperplasia, become small tumors, forming metastatic tumors.
