Gout nodules

Summary: Gout nodules are characteristic of gout and are formed by the accumulation of urate crystals. It can occur in any tissue except the central nervous system, but it is more common in soft tissues around the joints, including tendons and ligaments, especially in the distal limbs and cartilage of the external ear, and less common elsewhere.
