Traumatic retroperitoneal hemorrhage or hematoma

Retroperitoneal hemorrhage and hematoma are hemorrhages and formed hematomas of organs, blood vessels, muscles, and nearby bone tissue in the retroperitoneal space. The clinical manifestations are different because of the different organs of the primary injury and the severity of the injury. A small amount of bleeding and hematoma can be covered by the symptoms of tissue and organ damage, a large amount of bleeding and large hematoma can mainly cause hypovolemic shock, and abdominal symptoms are often confused with gastrointestinal damage. A diagnostic error can lead to a negative laparotomy, delaying the opportunity for surgical rescue and causing patient death.
