Fibrinogen

Plasma fibrinogen fibrinogen is a precursor of fibrin. In the final stage of coagulation, soluble fibrinogen is converted into insoluble fibrin, which causes blood to clot. Measurement of plasma fibrinogen helps to understand the coagulation status.
