Liver and Gallbladder Percussion

Liver and gallbladder percussion is an auxiliary examination method used to check whether the abdomen is normal. The purpose is to percuss the upper and lower bounds of the liver, liver area, and gallbladder with or without throbbing pain. Hepatic throbbing pain has certain significance for the diagnosis of hepatitis and liver abscess; the gallbladder is deep, and its size cannot be scrambled by percussion, but gallbladder throbbing is helpful to the diagnosis of cholecystitis. Through this examination, you can determine the lesion site and the corresponding symptoms. In the liver area, the spleen is palpated during palpitation. When the spleen is palpated unsatisfactorily or there are few spleen margins under the ribs, the spleen palpation should be used to further check the size of the spleen.
